HEALTH GUARANTEE

 

Lowcountry Goldens guarantees that the puppy you have purchased is in good health.  In order for this guarantee to be valid, your new puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of pickup or delivery. Presence of worms, giardia, or coccidian does not make a puppy defective. We will send your puppy home parasite free, as your puppy will have a thorough veterinarian exam prior to leaving LCG. Your puppy will also have had their first round of vaccines and several dewormings. You are responsible for completing the puppy vaccine regimen  up to 16 weeks of age.

A two year guarantee against genetic health problems is included with the purchase of your puppy. Both dams and sires are required to receive genetic testing prior to breeding. Dog will not be mated if there's any possibility of a puppy becoming affected with a genetic defect. 

If the vet finds a genetic defect in the puppy within the first 2 years of age that will cause certain premature death, LCG agrees to refund the puppy purchase price. A refund will only be given upon a written report from the vet responsible for performing the exam. All tests and proof of defect must be provided to LCG in writing. This written proof will be verified by LCG's vet before a refund will be given. 

 

If it ever becomes necessary to place your puppy/dog in a new home, you must contact LCG before making that change. If you are considering surrendering a LCG puppy/dog to a shelter or agency, call us and we will gladly take him/her back. It is our responsibility to make sure our dogs are in appropriate homes. LCG offers lifetime support for the placement of our puppies/dogs.
